Torbane Vineyard

Located in Santo Stefano Belbo, in the middle of the World Heritage Unesco list with a total surface of 19 hectars, Torbane Vineyard is planted on a sunny ridge of San Maurizio hill facing Moncucco peak. The soil and the sun exposure makes this area ideal for Moscato Bianco intense perfumes.

The Torbane estate is located in Santo Stefano Belbo in the middle of the hills of the World Heritage Unesco has recognized and rewarded for beauty, complexity and variety. Through sweet hills and dramatical step slope with continuous changes follow each new and romantic landscapes that leave the spectator breathless.

The estate is an only one parcel with a big master house, the outbuilding is next to. Both are made of Langa stones. The East exposure with an average slope of 25% on 250 mt above the sea takes the early morning sun.

The type of soil of medium clayey-sandy consistency, slightly calcareous is ideal for the variety of grapes grown here: 100% white Moscato for Asti and Moscato d’Asti DOCG with an average medium age of 25 years old.

The planting density do not exceed the 5000 vines per ha. The traditional Guyot system impose a reduced-pruning in order to have a good leaf exposure that makes very quality grapes.

The general concerns are usually made by hand, especially the harvest that starts from late August and early September.
